Cece really wasn't finding this anywhere near as humorous as William was. And she certainly didn't think it would be gross if he was in love with her... since she is in no way really his sister. Even though it hurt to hear him say those words she decided not to comment on it. Really, what was the point? She did however comment about Oliver. "I doubt Oliver could ever be in love with anyone other than himself."

Then all laughing stopped and suddenly William was all serious. Cece just stared at him in disbelief as he went on about them never being together. He totally misunderstood what she had meant. She knew they had never been together like that, as she was sure Oliver also knew that. She couldn't believe she was about to do this... defend Oliver, but she was. "Lighten up already. I'm pretty sure he wasn't meaning it like that. He just meant when you and I were hanging out... as friends, that you didn't want him around because you were afraid I wouldn't want to be your friend anymore." Hear that William? FRIENDS! "At least that's what I think he was talking about." She still had to ask though. "Is it true, did you think I would stop being your friend if Oliver was around?" If that's what he thought then he never knew Cece at all.

Oh great, and now he's getting mad at her because she apologized to the jerk? Feeling really stupid now for even mentioning anything to William, she looked down at her hands. "I may have accused him of being the reason you ended up in the infirmary." Okay, so she did accuse him. Could you blame her though? After all, he was the reason she passed out in front of the whole school at the Opening Feast on her very first day as Healer, so of course she would assume he would do something to make William pass out.
