Anya began eating a bit of fruit when one of the few girl friends she had arrived at the table.

"Oh. Hi Penelope." she said with a smile.

She ate a few more pieces of fruit.

"How's it going?" Hopefully well. And not long-winded. Because, Anya kind of wanted the question asked in return. She wanted Penelope's opinion on what was going on. Girl talk. Or whatever you wanted to refer to it as.

And asking first was just a formality in getting to the end goal talk goal.

And yes, Anya knew it was a tad bit selfish just to ask so she could talk about herself later. But, girl talk had to start somewhere, right?
