Already with a rosy glow to her cheeks as she remembered their previous trip here,
Kurumi made her way inside and over towards one of the couches where she promptly sat down on it. She knew she was early, ridiculously early really, but she had just needed to get out of the common room for a bit and heading to the library to do some reading just didn't seem like an appealing idea either.
Without slipping her boots off, Kurumi lied back on the couch and reached into her bag for her mother's journal. Her hands traced over its cover as she hesitated for a moment before opening it. Slowly, she flipped through the pages until she found the last entry she had stopped at and her eyes glazed over her mother's delicate calligraphy that was beginning to show signs of disease. The disease that had taken her away. It still hurt thinking about it all, but she was healing. Slowly.
As she read, her free hand began to play with
the charm that was attached to her bag while she waited for Lewis.
