Accepting the kite, Gideon absently gave it a once over as the girl took care of her skates. It might have seemed stupid to ask that now but seeing as their level of experience in that respect would help tell him what type of assistance he might need to give, he asked it anyway.

"Kite skating isn't that much different then simple kite flying," Gideon commented guiding her to the frozen lake's absolute edge." Ye're just not gonna dig in and try and stay in one place, ye're gonna use the wind's pull of the kite to propel you across the ice. Why don't ye step onto the lake and then take the kite strings from me once yer settled." He in turn would hold the actual kite until she was ready to skate.
