Last year, even.
But he was off and gone and Neptune was sitting alone, up front... in a room full of... err... not her people. She definitely wore her look of fear for a moment before reigning it in. Neptune Bott was an adult, a perfectly grown up adult, that could sit alone at a wedding while Legend ran around worrying about rings that she knew first hand were in his pocket. She absently touched the area right below her eye and kept BOTH eyes on the lookout for the next Legend Chosen run-by. Quote:

Or somewhat calm, considering the circumstances.
Folding her hands in front of her, Aly took a deep breath before following Izzy out of the tent and slowly started walking down the aisle. Yes, everything was going to go fine. Her eyes briefly darted around to see who was among the guests, spotting a couple of familiar faces - was that Sherman?! Seeing as the guest list was one of the few things she hadn't helped out with, it was quite surprising to now see who had been invited. And who had brought plus ones. And who those were. And-
Right, they'd reached the front and Alysson should probably start focusing on the actual wedding and not who was here. Plus, it seemed she wasn't the only one who had other things in mind than where the priest had just come from and exactly WHERE Izzy and Wesley had found him. His way of speaking was rather cute, though. It oddly made her relax a little. Even though she hadn't yet spotted her plus one. There just were a lot of people here though so maybe it was all good. Hopefully.
But back to other things. More important ones. Or more important ones for Izzy anyway. And since it was HER day...
What was wrong with Althea? She'd been her usual self back in the tent and now she was looking as if this was the last place she wanted to be right now. Or well, something like that. She definitely did not look happy to be here anyway. Even though she should! She was up front, next to the bride, for everyone to see. "Smile!" Alysson nudged the woman next to her as inconspicuously as possible, giving her a rather stern look.
It was NOT okay to look like that. Not now. Not when the ceremony had just started and everybody was looking their way. William shifted in his seat as the music started, turning his head from staring at the decorations to staring at the entrance to the wedding. He didn't know ANY of these people, other than Seren and Dash, whom he'd lost sight of a long time ago, and he was kind of worried that maybe Alysson had left him here and then run off?
But no, nope, there she was now. And WOW did she look GORGEOUS! William's eyes only briefly lingered on the bride in the too-poofy dress; mostly, his eyes were focused on Aly and HEY LOOK, THEA! Heheh so they were BOTH bridesmaids! That was cool. They had friends in common now.
Feeling much more relaxed now that his date reason for attending this wedding was in sight, Willy let out a little happy sigh and slid down lower into his seat. "This should be nice," he found himself commenting to the young blonde beside him. A very nice wedding.
Just as long as Alysson didn't get any ideas about it. And as long as she didn't catch the bouquet. He was okay with weddings otherwise. Quote:

Izzy pretty much bet on the fact that the wedding wouldn't be over 5 minutes and he would've taken it off. Or at least undone it anyway. But enough about thoughts of that. She needed to concentrate on getting to the alter before she like fell over in this dress. That was pretty easy to be honest.
Half way there. Half way to finally being able to call Wesley her husband. And she hadn't fallen over yet. Perfect. Her dad was also being pretty tolerable too. So everything was going perfect. The smile on her face really couldn't be bigger. She really was so happy. And now she was at the alter. "Hi..." She mused with a little smile. Finally. It was time. Finally. Wes found his hands tingling a little with giddy anticipation as Izzy got closer and closer to the altar. It was like being back in Sydney during Christmastime, when he'd get to pick ONE present to open on Christmas Eve and the others had to be saved for Christmas Day. Heh. Izzy was the right present he'd picked, yup yup.
Taking her hands as she approached, he resisted the urge to kiss her right there and instead settled for a simple, whispered, "Hi!" back. He only briefly took his eyes off his bride to glance at the priest, who was UUUGUHGGH some kind of ugly, and instead went back to staring happily, hopelessly at Iz. The priest cleared his throat and flashed his gappy smile at the assembled, waiting for the music to finish up before he began his usual little speech. He always liked to say a little something at the start of each ceremony, you know, to get the guests in the mood for a wedding. "Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooodaaay," he began, holding his wrinkly hands up over the heads of the bride and the groom. "Mawage, that bwessed awangment, that dweam WIFIN a dweam..."
Wesley had started tuning the clergyman out as soon as the man opened his mouth, preferring to grin at Izzy instead of listening to the man's ridiculous accent. Even though they were in a Muggle hotel in front of hundreds of witnesses, he was tempted to pull out his wand and put the poor geezer out of his misery --- or at least, put everyone's eardrums out of their misery...
