After all, she was one of the best Heads that Mysteries ever had. He felt obligated to come. Even though he knew that there would be a LOT of women here.

Sherman adjusted his tie as he wheeled further into the large hotel. As he passed by, he noticed there were quite a few MLE employees here. MLErs scared him; but then again, who didn't? Instead of trying to meet new people, the elderly man instinctively wheeled over to the corner where two new recruits from his Department, Alexandria and Demetrius, were chatting away. So. He just sat there and nodded at whatever they were talking about, hoping that people wouldn't notice that he had just joined the conversation. Nod.

What now?
Before Demetrius could respond anything back, Lex caught sight of someone in her periphery vision rolling up near her and Demetrius. Sherman - the seemingly decent elderly gentlemen was there too?! And he cleaned up quite nice even for the occasion. But seriously, was like ALL of the Department of Mysteries there?!

"Sherman," Alex greeted plainly, giving him a polite smile. "Looking good there." Yes, including the shiny, polished up chair.

Seeing that it was at the Dorchester, it was just knew that she would have to be there and of course, Jayden would have to come along as well. She did enjoy seeing him in formal attire and gave her warm fuzzies about other weddings in the future.

Walking into the Dorchester Hotel, Jade smiled softly as she glanced around as she waited for her plus one. It was a beautiful place to have a ceremony indeed. Catching sight of a few people she recognized, she felt more at ease. At least, she would know a few people there and wouldn't have to just keep close to Jayden all evening. Spotting her own cousin on the bride's side, she glanced over her shoulder. Perhaps Jayden would be able to find her if she joined the others.

Heading toward the bride's side, she noticed a few of her co-workers. Even more people she knew. "Alexandria. Demetrius. I'm so happy to see familiar faces,"
she smiled as she took a seat not too far from them, saving the one beside her as well. "Beautiful place, isn't it?"
And another Mysteries employee. Jade, yes. Familiar though? It'd barely been a month. But it was more familiar than most of the Law Enforcement people, so she simply nodded politely at her. "Likewise, Jade. I thought I'd not know any of the other guests." Considering she'd been in London only for about two months.

"The place is ... breathtaking, yes." Not as much so as maybe sunrise on the beach in Australia, but for a wedding, the Dorchester Hotel was beyond words, amazing.

However, at least he felt like he had more reason to be here at this one, since he knew Wes a lot more than he had Warren, not to mention the fact he knew Wes due of much better circumstances. It wasn't just being part of MLE bringing him there, nor was it pity. At least, he didn't think it was pity that had gotten him the invite. Glancing at the other guests seated in the room waiting for the ceremony, it might have been the fact he worked for the Ministry that had gotten him the invite, but even that didn't bother him.

He just had to stop letting the memories of Gwendolyn affect him. She was gone, Gabriel was in prison, and he needed to move on. He'd started, but this wasn't the fight against the cult. This was Wes and Isobel's wedding, and that was simply just that much different from work managing to distract him. He wasn't about to leave, though. He was here, and he'd stay, even if it was just in order to help them celebrate their happiness.
Her brown eyes then drifted curiously toward a gentlemen who seemed .... anxious? Uncomfortable? Whatever it was, it caught her eye and interest. He seemed both solemn and happy, and Lex made a mental note to find out more about him at the reception.
