See? She was thanking him for his praise on her answers. Girls ALWAYS cared about what he thought. Always. They got all gushy and embarrassed and started blushing. It was so sweet. He loved having that effect on people. But then she started threatening to throw him into the dragon's pool if he lost them points, "Heyyyyy small fry, don't sweat. Professor Williamson has totttallly put forward his warnings and I have totalllllly got the message loud and clear."
With that she got up and offered to help bathe the horrifically dirty dragon. This put him in an awkward position. He couldn't be seen to be less brave than a GIRL! Did that mean he had to offer to wash the damn thing as well? Reallllly? But he didn't want to... Maybe people wouldn't notice his wussyness as they would be distracted too much by his good looks... And none of the other guys were really volunteering except for one Gryffindor kid who sounded like a girl anyway...
But, when had Elijah EVER did what OTHER guys were doing?
"I... um... I volunteer also, Professor Bro," this could only turn out disastrous, but at least it might put him back in the Professor's good books if he helped a bro out. He watched the Butt Girl grab a bottle of baby oil and he did the same. Elijah had only used baby oil in the past to moisturise himself. It helped make him to be as attractive as he was today. Hopefully by the end of this bath the dragon could say the same. Quote:

And now he was standing next to her holding a bottle of baby oil too. The fact that he was doing that made her wonder whether he was volunteering to help bathe the dragon because he REALLY wanted to or whether it was to impress the other girls. She suspected that it was more towards the latter. Unfortunately, his attempts were failing miserably...at least with her. It wasn't that Alyssa didn't find him funny, she did. She just knew that all his machismo was just for show and suspected that deep down inside, there was another side of him, that she might actually like, if only he would stop putting words in people's mouths!!.

He watched and waited for the dragon to take the bait, moving closer to the pool and dangling the others right over it. Willy nodded toward the volunteers but then got a somewhat confused expression on his face.
"Er, where did you guys get those bottles of baby oil? We're going to be using the buckets of oil I used to fill up the pool..." And he'd smartly only filled it up halfway so that when Roro got into the pool, oil wouldn't splash everywhere. Just somewhere.
"Anyway, once Roro gets in, we have to move fast. It will help if you hum as you dump the oil," he pointed to a few still-filled buckets, "slowly down Roro's back. I'll use my wand to massage the oil in but then once it's all in you guys should back up to your seats."
