Alyssa was glad that her answer wasn't wrong. Then she heard the Professor tell them that they had to place their wands on the table. Alyssa looked over and saw that the Headboy was looking weird. Alyssa sighed. It looked like someone had played a prank on him. Alyssa unholstered her wand and placed it on the table in front of her.
Now it was time for the practical part of the lesson which was what Alyssa always liked. She waited her turn as the other students walked forward to pick their stones and while she waited she looked into her textbook to see which kind of stones would best represent the 13 stones she would need for her circle.
When it was her turn to select hers, Alyssa walked up at picked stones of different colors and shapes. One thing she made certain of, was that the stones has edges on them that could be used as pointers. She picked nice shiny stones, dull looking ones, brightly colored ones and once she was done, she checked and counted them to make sure that she had 13 of them before she dropped them in a pouch that the Professor had provided.
Alyssa returned to her desk and poured out the stones and studied them one more time as she placed them on the pouch.
