Dumbledore sat in his office after Harry left the office, gazing into the pensieve. Merope Gaunt. What an interesting girl who's dream were trampled on. He pulled out his wand and drew up the image of her standing cowering in a corner.

"That's really Voldemort's mother?" I whispered, eyes wide.

Dumbledore glanced at me. "Do you not believe that?"

"Well, it's just...she's so vulnerable and sad. How did Voldemort come from that?"

"She left him. He grew up without a family. That turns people bitter."

"Do you have family, Dumbledore?"

I know the answer.

He doesn't. Like Merope or Voldemort.
