While copying the notes, he listened to the professor explained further more about them. It makes sense once he read his book. Divination is not a strong subject for Jonathan but he tries to keep up with it nonetheless.

Does anyone have an ideas as to how many and what they stand for?

Quite frankly, Jonathan doesn't have a clue in any of it. The question itself was confusing him already. So he stayed his head lowered as he tries to finish copying the notes on the board.
