Kurumi remained silent as her classmates listed off stones and their meanings. Since Kurumi had never actually studied any of this, she was sort of out of the loop when it came to possible meanings. However, as it became clear that they were simply stones that represented the planets, she felt a little more at ease. She knew about that, especially since the ones mentioned were, for the most part, associated with days of the week and that was something that was taken rather seriously in the culture she grew up in. Jotting down some notes, Kurumi couldn't help but think of a few questions and slowly raised her hand - especially since she was pretty sure that all thirteen had already been mentioned, so there was no need to repeat answers.

"Professor, why 13?" she asked, cocking her head to the side as she tried to make some sort of FACTUAL connection. "I know in some ancient cultures and beliefs that the number can represent a powerful solar symbol and ancient Egyptians believed there are thirteen steps upon the ladder that leads to eternity and when you reach that step you attain spiritual completion..." She was sort of just rambling off facts right now, grabbing at straws for some sort of connection, but she actually was genuinely curious as to why 13 stones as opposed to 12 or whatever other number.
