Being a former Slytherin himself, he'd never lost that house pride. "Best of luck to him with his NEWT exams. What do he wish to do after Hogwarts?" "Sierra," he answered. "Just Sierra. I have an older daughter, as well, but shes married with young ones of her own." The story about Alex was a bit personal, but people were bound to learn at some point. "Alex is the son of my ex-wife and her former boyfriend," he said. He'd just leave it at that. Nevermind that the boy had his namesake. "He and my Sierra were just born at the same time." Confusing enough? Likely. Alexander let out a chuckle. He has point with this. Alexander was also taking notes on who his son is hanging out with, after all, all Slytherins should stick together. It wasn't like he forces him who to hang out with but at least, a father has got to know about these tiny details into their children's lives. "I see." he spoke. "Never go wrong with Slytherins" they should make a toast with this. Alexander only knows about Sierra through Jonathan and til recently he has mentioned about her being the new prefect. Such a nice young lady. NEWTS, something Alexander has been worried about for quite sometime now, it's not that he underestimates his son, it's just that Jonathan just needed to exert more effort on these things. These exams are quite important. "Thank you and to Sierra as well. Best of luck on her OWLs" as he remembered, she is in the fifth year, right? As Minister Alexander asked him about what Jonathan will take after Hogwarts, Alexander doesn't really know. However his son has taken sometime to think about his suggestions during the time he took his son off from school "Well, hopefully, following my footsteps" like every father's dream.
And as for Alex, that story Alexander didn't really know. However, it was foolish for him not to mention the older sibling. But since the minister looked like he didn't want to talk about it, Alexander decided to leave it there. He just nodded, and didn't continue in asking further questions about the topic. However he did mention about the older daughter having kids on her own. What a better way to change the subject... "Your older daughter has kids" he repeated. That must be nice.
