Lewis eyes widened slightly in surprise when he heard her chuckle, but he couldn't quite stop himself from smiling softly either. It was slighlty weird referring to what they'd both done to get Kurumi out of that dark place in her head as teamwork. It sounded like they'd worked together scoring a goal during a Quidditch match or something. "In a way, yes." Heh. However, somehow Lewis couldn't think of a better way to describe it. It HAD been team work to a some extent. Even if the word's connotations might make him think of sports or something equally trivial.
Teamwork implied that they'd worked together to achieve something - which was exactly what they had done.
Frowning some more as she rolled her eyes at him, Lewis might have even huffed softly, not really liking where this was going. "I'm not being modest." And modest wasn't a color was it? HUH?! "I'm serious." See? He even took another small step towards her, cocking his head slightly to the side while nodding slowly. "I couldn't have done it without you...I didn't even do anything." He was back to chewing on his lip thoughtfully, his eyes on something behind Selina as he tried to figure this out. "I...I still don't know how I helped her, you know." At this his eyes were back on the Gryffindor's face, widening a little as he watched her expectantly. Maybe she would know.
"I didn't do anything..." He repeated softly. It was true. He didn't know WHAT he had done. All he knew was that he had allegedly done SOMETHING. Only what? |
