Yes. She knew of him. Though she wasn't chummy, she did make it her business to know about people, and of course, in this circumstance, there was another reason for her knowing of him. Wes shifted the plant to one hip, sorta, which was a rather uncomfortable position for him. He never put things on his hip because... well, was he a woman? No. But he did need to be able to see properly so that he wouldn't run into more people, so to the hip the plant went.
This woman, though, this one was different. Wes had more expected her to imply that she was going to sue him rather shrug off the bump. The last thing he'd expected was for her to recognize him. "I.....am the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, yes," he answered automatically.
How did all these people know him when he didn't know them?! He was really sucking at his habit of keeping a low profile.
"And you are?" Someone I should know...?
