"The dead ferrets I caught earlier today will come into play later on in the lesson, when we actually start to work with the dragon."
Hehe. And if the ferrets didn't work to keep Roro calm, well... Willy had tranquilizers.
He paused as an unexpected, but not entirely unwelcome yet guest showed up to his class. Uh, all right, maybe she'd gotten his memo about the dragon baby a little late... the hatching had occurred months ago. But whatever; William nodded at the woman regardless and then carried on with his lesson. Anyone who wanted to care for a creature was always welcome in his class.
"All right, so here's what we're going to do today. First, we're going to call Roro out to play! Then, we're going to give him some exercise, help him take a bath, and finally, we'll end by trimming his nails. IF you all remember to REMAIN CALM and KIND whilst handling the dragon, we shouldn't run into any issues today. All right?"
Nodding as if to show the class the correct reaction, William clapped his hands together and rubbed them. Brr, it WAS getting nippy out here! Might as well put on his gloves now, which he always kept in his back pocket. "Everyone has their dragonhide gloves on, right? Right. Well, let's call Roro out now! Everybody do your best dragon impression!"
No, he wasn't going to tell them how to ACTUALLY call a dragon until they tried it and made fools of themselves first.
....
Aspen ... looked around to her peers. Weren't they as amused as she was? Were they not listening? She actually had to duck her head to keep from laughing out loud.
He'd CAUGHT a DEAD ferret? Aspen pictured it. It was hilarious. No, it was HILARIOUS. Dead ferret traps on the grounds...
And then, they were going to remember to be kind. Not going to forget that. Aspen wondered if Professor Williamson would also remember? She'd watch and see.
LASTLY, and almost as funny as catching dead ferrets, they were going to wear their gloves made of Fruity's Roro's Momma to remove pieces of the beast. That wouldn't make a young dragon mad, right?
.... Aspen couldn't take this class. It was so funny. Professor Williamson was SO educational and everyone around her lost their MINDS in his presence. Did they REALLY think a dragon would come to a call?
Really?
She figured he'd come because the food was out here. Not because the Gryffindor Prefect was YAWKING. She was honest-to-Merlin YAWKING.
Too much. Too funny. |
