He shook himself and looked at Kaid. "Your turn!" And West would continue to sneak looks over THERE.
ASPENWHATWASGOINGON?
Aspen just wasn't worried about the rest of Ravenclaw. They mostly let her be anyway, and if they all hated her now? What would be the difference? But what she WAS worried about was.... West.
She caught his looks.
And put a finger to her mouth.
She was fine, and he was doing GOOD (she nodded, shhh and nods and good job over there!) and he should keep being consistent and not be a battering ram. Nothing for West to worry about, just big sister teaching some Bully Boys a lesson during lessons. SPOILER!!: Head Boy with Brain Damage Quote:

.... Fifty. Fifty points...
FIFTY POINTS?!?! WHUUT was this woman thinking? Paulie closed his eyelids because that was a LOT of points.. and this was a lot of dizziness...
But, what was that next part? Uhm, yeah. It was kinda hard to be 'on his feet' when he had no control over his body up here in the air. Although, Aspen must have been too preoccupied and panicky over Professor Bellaire to think about Wingardium Leviosa, and so.. he dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes. And somehow avoided hitting his head this time.
He groaned. And he groaned for TWO reasons. The first was attributed to the fact that not only had his head been throbbing from the initial collision with the ceiling, but the flips and spins in mid-air had now given him the WORST bout of dizziness he had ever had in his LIFE. The second reason: he'd just lost fifty points AND got another detention. As Head Boy, no less. Ughhhhh.
Oh, how he wanted to talk. He neeeeeeded to! The words were bubbling up inside him like a potion gone wrong! But he clenched his teeth together and mustered up the power to refrain himself. Ten points per syllable was utter insanity, but he'd lost enough points to test her.
He stood up, only to fall back down upon the cushion again. He really WAS completely disoriented. Cursing the fact that there were no desks to grab hold of for support, he slowly and unsteadily rose again, keeping himself crouched over some in case he fell again. Zig-zagging and fumbling every two or three steps, Paulie finally made it to the wall where the others were, his ears burning in embarrassment from the horrible dizzy stumbling walking he'd just been forced to perform before the rest of the class.
He rested his head upon the wall and massaged his eyes before pinching the bridge of his nose. This attempt of relief was not helping much.
Detention and fifty points. Merlin's beard. Was that Sierra girl over here, too? Yeah.. he did feel bad for her getting dragged into this, and he made a mental note in his spinning mind to approach Professor Bellaire later about retracting her punishment. That would have to wait, though, for when Professor Bellaire WASN'T livid, and HE wasn't a mess/responsible for losing more points for speaking.
...
Well. He didn't die. Aspen hadn't expected him, too, but it was good to know. As Aspen approached the wall (Slooooow walking), she wondered about the theory of Hufflepuffs croaking earlier. Seemed much more likely to her that Gryffidors would go first. SPOILER!!: Angry Bird Quote:

Oops! She saw Paulie falling down, Joao and the RAVENCLAW girl were heading for the wall... along with Sierra. Huh. But that wasn't the interesting part.. no, the interesting and MADDENING part was the--
FIFTY POINT LOSS ?!?!?!?!?!
Louisa's jaw dropped open and then quickly was shut down since the angry woman turned on the whole class challenging them to lose more point. The girl's eyes moved to look at the back of the Ravenclaw's head. If looks -literally speaking- could kill, the Ravvie girl should be dead by now.
"And now I know who to assign for ALL the extra classes activities." she mumbled to herself and to Jonathan. Not that he had to reply... but he would've heard her. She glared some more to the girl's head and then turned to look at Jonathan. "Come, let's practice non-verbally." She needed to let her frustration out on someone by something, y'know.
Louisa closed her eyes, pointed her wand at the boy and focused very hard. Five seconds passed before she flicked and swished her wand at him... and opened her eyes to see what kind of effect her non-verbal spell had on him.
Aspen caught the look.
And looked right back.
LOOKLOOKLOOKLOOK. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOK. SPOILER!!: Frenemy? I dunno. Quote:

João's ears started to ring. He bet they were as red as a tomato. His whole face was getting redder, in fact. Not because of the shame, but because of the anger and injustice. He was getting a detention too? That he was the victim? That he was sat on? That he was hit Aspen and then dropped on purpose? And what about Sierra? All she ever did was refer to 'Romeo and Juliet'. For all he cared, Paulie and Aspen could stay in detention forever because they weren't Slytherin. But he and Sierra, that was just unfair.
Accepting Aspen's hand without even noticing he was holding her hand that she offered voluntarily, he got up and looked pleadingly at the professor. He had done nothing wrong, just like Sierra. If anything, they were the victims here.
Why did Slytherin lose 100 points quite unfairly?
With a muffled frustrated sigh, he went over to the wall and stood there as intructed. Unlike Sierra who he couldn't understand either, he didn't lower his head but kept it high up. Because he and she had done nothing wrong.
FINALLY... Aspen chose a spot on the wall.... not near Joao, but closer to him than the others. She crossed her arms and did just as she was instructed: Stared at the wall.
And pondered if humming was considering syllables.
And made mental notes to REALLY gain a restricted section note. She NEEDED it right NOW.
...what about Morse code? What if she tapped messages on the wall? She hated vague threats. |
