Well, the first time she'd asked, she had been eleven or twelve... she was fourteen now, almost fifteen, and she STILL couldn't cast non-verbal spells.
Sigh.
Lost in her thoughts, Nora gasped when she couldn't feel the carpet underneath her anymore, since she didn't really hear Alyssa when she asked her if she was ready. She slowly got higher and higher, and it felt alright, until... uhm... "N-not sick," she said as she floated from one side to the other, "j-just... a b-bit afraid of... heights." Just hovering was one thing, but moving like that... Eeeek!
"But maybe... it's t-the best chance to get over... this fear?" One could only hope.
"
Oh I didn't know that you were afraid of heights." Alyssa told her, slowly moving her wand down, so that Nora wasn't floating as high as she was earlier.
"
You know, the one way to overcome your fear, is to attend Flying Lessons. At least you'll be flying on a broom and the chances of falling are lesser. Do you mind if I try something? Don't worry I'm not going to let you fall."
Alyssa then slowly moved her wand until Nora was facing vertically with her legs pointed down. Concentrating really hard, Alyssa slowly moved her wand downwards until Nora was safely on the ground, feet first.
"
Yay I managed to do that without dropping you. Do you want to practice again?" Alyssa offered her.
