Lewis blinked at her a couple of times when she replied, finally looking just a tiny bit friendlier than a moment ago. "Protest posters?" He echoed, his brow furrowing in confusion a little. "Why are you..." Oh hang on. Wasn't that on his list? The Hufflepuff quickly reached for his to-do list again and skimmed through it, looking for something in particular. Oooh, here we go. "Is this for...is this for the History of Magic assignment?" At this he glanced back up at her, away from the list, before allowing his eyes to fall on the banners again.
Hopefully this was for a class assignment.
At her next question, Lewis took a couple of more steps towards her so he could get a better look at the banner she was drawing right now. "I-I don't know what an 'angry protest poster'-" He air-quoted the word, clearly referring to her own words. "-looks like." He took another step closer and cocked his head slightly to the side, his eyes still on the drawings. Probably not what she wanted to hear, right? He wasn't saying that the poster DIDN'T look like an angry protest poster, either, though.
What was he protesting for? "I...don't know yet." Lewis replied slowly, his smile now completely gone. Was he late at deciding on a topic? Chewing on his lower lip anxiously, he swallowed and looked back down at the piece of parchment in his hand. "I only just now saw that we had to do this assignment." It wasn't a really good excuse or anything but somehow his tone of voice was a bit defensively. "What are you protesting for then?" Were those...were those books on her poster? |
