It was her own problem for not necessarily having spoken to as many people around her own age as opposed to ones who had already graduated, or ones who were younger. She didn't need to place that same problem onto other people, although she'd smiled as he'd verified her question of his name. At least she'd remembered that much, even if it seemed he'd had amoment of discomfort as to why. "Yes," she verified, as he'd stumbled his way through his own memories. "Arithmancy last term, I think. I'm not sure." That was the problem with making the acquaintance of people during lessons. It wa shard to tell if she'd made the same impact as they had on her.

But then he'd left it up to her to decide whether or not she wanted to attempt to levitate him or if she wanted to be levitated, and a thoughtful expression crossed her face. There were plenty of arguments as to either option, really. Going first and getting things over with was in the lead, honestly, but going first worked both ways. "Hmm, maybe you try to levitate me first? I'd think size might matter, or something. Or ability," she said, semi-thinking aloud. Of course, she wasn't exactly going to ask him his weight, or how proficient he was in the spell. Neither question seemed very polite, and she still had the idea of going first running through her mind. Everything was just awkward, really.
Gideon nodded as she...Stella confirmed that that was indeed her name which was certainly a good thing. No mix-ups were needed and no other name was coming to mind as an option so if it hadn't be Stella he would have been clueless as to what her name could have been. Certainly not Alyssa...she was a Huffie and younger, not older. Arithmancy huh...aye that sounded like it could be right. "Aye...perhaps," he spoke agreeing somewhat as to the class they had first worked together side by side. They did sometimes do group work in the class under Professor Hadley's tutelage.

"Alright," he replied giving in to her preference. He could do it he believed seeing as the spell wasn't all that hard. What made it challenging was controlling it to avoid injury to the person one was levitating. A ball or even a feather certainly didn't feel so you didn't have to worry if you dropped them. Taking his wand out of his pocket, Gideon raised it slightly as he took a deep breath to gather his control. "Wingardium Leviosa!" he cast finally, moving his wand in a clear swish-and-flick movement Focusing his attention on the task at hand, the Gryffindor aimed at Stella's center of gravity in hopes of not jostling her around too much.
