I'm Christina, but my middle name's Lily (and since it's Harry Potter-y, I go by that sometimes) or Chris because Christina's so formel. ...I also let some special people call me Chrissy but you have to be in my inner circle to be allowed. *eyes warningly* I've lost count of how many times I've attempted drabbles XD from SSRPG charries to my favourite canon couple, everythings floppped. But it's almost Summer and I have three months off - and my sister doesn't so plenty time on the computer ;D - so, I think this may be my lucky chance! Fingers crossed anyway.
On to the character I'm drabbling about. I'm not to sure if she's been done before, but, if she has (or hasn't), I hope I do her justice and put a new slant on her story. I was rereading Half-Blood Prince (for like the sixth time...hehe, just realised it's the sixth book...sorry) and got to the part where Dumbledore was showing Harry the memory of the Gaunt house and where they sort of met Voldemort's mother. We didn't learn much about her, other than the fact she was most likely a Squib and that she was abused and terrified.
I fell asleep telling myself that I'd Harry Potter wiki her to find out more - she just struck me as a really interesting character. There was a lot of information on her, but ... I wanted more! I wanted to write a collection of short stories about the "Gaunt Girl" who was so debrived of love that she fell into an obsessive love over a boy from the town who, like most others, treated her like dirt. When her father and brother were taken to Askaban, it is believed (as I'm sure you know) that she gave Tom Riddle a potion and ran away with him. Anywho, this is what I think her story is!
Do you want to know the saddest part? I'll tell you anyway. J.K. Rowling has said, that if Merope Gaunt hadn't chosen death over her son, Voldemort would probably not have become the wizard he was, saving many lives.

“You call this food?” Marvolo roared, throwing a plate of what looked like green mush across the room. Morfin giggled wheazily.
Merope's eyes went huge, she grouped in her pocket for her wand.
“Stupid Squib. You're suppose to be the cook. Use your magic for goodness sake!” He came right up to her, raising his fist to hit her.
She did the only thing she could thing of. She slapped him. Morfin stopped giggling abruptly and Marvolo looked shocked before he grinned wickedly.
Merope gulped, blinking furiously.
She was in trouble tonight.
