Especially for a boy who played a sport that involved being on the air as much as a winged horse wanted to.

Oh, no, she was right. Thanks for pointing it out, though. "Yes, exactly," that's why they were given wings, no? Logic. And her smile simply widened at the mention of Granians again, "They're beautiful too," she finally said, eyes always on him. Instead of Thestrals, he should've thought of Granians. Wider market for them as well. Thestrals were mostly wanted by wand-makers and potioneers as far as she was concerned. Not too many people actually got them to care for. Because not too many could see them.

Kate was uncertain about whether it was a good sign that he'd said nothing else in regards to what happened when he was little or not. Though she was positively glad that the sadness in his eyes had dissipated a bit. But it was still there, lingering in his expression. It didn't suit him.

Then he started to get up, and it was all too sudden for her to even say she could go with him if he wanted to..., so all she said was, "Will you be okay, Keefer?" eyes on him, always.

They're beautiful, too. He smiled. "Just like--" He stopped himself short, but really, there was no reason not to say it. "Just like you." His cheeks gained a faint shade of pink. She could scoff all she wanted, but he had meant what he had said.

"Yes, I'll be fine. Really," he said, nodding. "It's just... not the most pleasant memory, as you may imagine." Understatement, but still true. "You were a great listener. Thank you." The thanks were heartfelt and genuine, deeper than she likely suspected, but reflected in his eyes.

He extended a hand partially towards her. "You getting up or staying a bit longer?"
