20. KNITTING CHARM
Fifth Year
Arthur
Sitting in the corner, where she couldn’t see him, Arthur was watching Molly knit. He had to make sure he wasn’t seeing double, because she was knitting three things. He could see what was forming into a jumper, some socks, and a scarf which was being knitted by Molly herself.
“She’s good at that charm,” Monty said, joining Arthur.
“She is. I’ve never seen anyone work a pair of knitting sticks as quick as her,” Arthur replied, slightly dreamily.
Monty laughed and said, “When are you going to ask her out?”
Arthur, very startled by the blunt question, felt himself turn red. Blast his red hair and red cheeks. “I… how do you know?”
“I think everyone knows. She likes you too, you know.”
“I… really? Did she say something?”
“She doesn’t need to Arthur. It’s written all over her when she sees you. Honestly, next time you talk to her watch the frowns disappear, and the stress be washed off with a smile,” Monty said smiling. “She is my best friend Arthur, I think I know when she likes someone.”
