Charley slumped on her bed, lying down flat on her back, glaring up at the ceiling. She was in one of her moods. One of her bad moods. She often had very pathetic reasons for these moods- and in this case, it was the third year boy who had laughed at her when she dropped her books. Well she had gotten back at him. Immediately exploding in a frenzy of every curse she knew, she had quickly picked up her books, and ran straight up to the dormitery. She was tired- as well as angry.

How dare he laugh at her? Was it because she was a girl? Because she was small? Because she was new? Or simply because she had been victim to a moment's misfortune? She didn't care. He had paid dearly for it, and she smirked as she thought about the sound of his exclamation of surprise, and then the heavy thud as he fell back against the wall behind him. She stroked her wand, then tucked it under her pillow. She sat up on her bed, her long black hair tumbling down her back, dark eyes darting around the room, daring anyone to approach her.
