Damien glanced back over towards daisy, re-assembling himself. "It's just what, Daisy?" he asked. "I'd rather you tell me what's on your mind than thinking it is getting too much for you."
Better off knowing now, anyway. "One sided?" She pinched the bridge of her nose. "And don't yell at Astrid...he's done nothing to you." She sat there while he readjusted himself on the grass. "I understand things bother you...and things are bleak...but have you ever focused on the good things?"
She let the silence hang between them for a moment. "Look, I'm sorry..." Now why was she being so captious? Who'd stuck the bee in her bonnet? "Maybe part of what is the problem is your inability to focus on the positive?"
