Or at least, that's how it seemed when he was a child and the playgrounds he frequented were much bigger than himself and filled with mystery. A bit of that mystique was taken away by the fact that he was now tall enough to see over some of the towers and logical enough to easily see how each section connected with little more than a glance. But that didn't stop him! How could it, when he hadn't been on a playground in literally ten years?!
Climbing up one of the rope ladders, he was about to make it to the first platform when the very rope he was climbing on disappeared from beneath him. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Cornelius yelled, despite the fact that he only fell approximately three feet to the cushioned playground floor. Aw man. Voila! Here stood Paulie, at the top of the tower, before the biggest slide on the playground. Eat your hearts out, kiddos, Paulie was gonna FLY down this slide. Perhaps he could charm it to make it waxy and even more slippery? Just as he mentally posed this question, he heard a loud 'NOOOOOOOOOOO' coming from somewhere below. The voice was much deeper than any firstie he'd ever known, so he put his slide glory aside and peered over the edge of the tower to see who made this bellow.
Wow! It was actually someone around his age. Paulie had to admit that he was pleasantly surprised to find another that felt no embarrassment in participating in things that maaaay have seemed a little childish to the average onlooker. "Havin' trouble gettin' to the top, mate? First step's a doozy, I hear." He grinned.
