Irish eyes || Nanny McPhee
It caught him off guard -- the way she responded to him. Very aloof and almost as if she didn't really care that he'd been hoping to find her. He raised an eyebrow in her direction, removing his hand from the back of his neck. "Of course, I was," he said with a sigh. "You're the only one at this stupid school who has actually heard me out. Listened to my crazy thoughts, dreams --"
He shook his head, focussing his eyes on the ground. "-- the only person who has actually tried to help me."
He glanced over at her then before standing up. "But if it's getting too much for you, I understand," he added, a tone of bitterness to his voice. Exactly the reason why he hadn't trusted many people in the first place. They're all about the friendship and then next thing you know they're gone.
