Moooving oooon though, there were more important things to discuss than Professor Bentley's love life.
Like flesh-eating plants that looked really really scary and were way too close to him for his liking. And...hang on, what?! "But...but..." He started to protest before remembering the plant's ears and lowering his voice again while turning a little to be able to stare at Louisa. "B-but...what if..." OMG! She was right. What if it just woke up and they didn't even notice. "O-okay. If it moves then we...dive under the table right away okay?" It couldn't reach under the table right? And it couldn't hop off the table either...right?!
This class was way worse than last term's.
But they had to finish this assignment. Before he got the chance to say anything though, Louisa had dashed off and had left him blinking at thin air for a moment. Where had she gone off t- OH! There she was. With a toothbrush. A BIG toothbrush. Right, because they had to brush that thing's teeth. Oh, this was going to be hell. Why had he taken this class again?
Even though he KNEW it could have only been Louisa, Lewis still jumped a little bit when she poked his shoulder. "But...but...why me?" Couldn't he do the teeth cleaning and she did the touching-the-plant part? But something told him that she wasn't one to argue with so in the end he closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. He could do this. Nothing was going to happen. He could do this. Nothing was going to happen. He could do this.
Feeling extremely brave all of a sudden with that mantra going through his head, Lewis took a small step forward and reached for the plant's...head. Okay. There. He had touched it. Nothing had happened. After waiting a couple of seconds he moved his hands a little so he was able to slowly open the plant's mouth to reveal its teeth. Which looked very...scary. And like they could easily chew his hand off.
"Hurry..." ...before it chewed his hands off.
Pffffffft, he was such a whiny boy. Louisa just stayed still and rolled her eyes as he struggled, squirmed and whatnot. It wasn't as if Bentley was going to let something happen to her students. The Ravenclaw's reasons for not doing this was totally logical, on the other hand.
she didn't want to die young
When he finally got the guts to move forward, Louisa's hands on the brush tightened and she stopped breathing for a second. THEBOYWASGOINGTODIE! her heart screamed...
... siiiigh. He didn't. He was actually alive and standing a moment later. Louisa nodded vigorously and strode toward him with the brush in both of her hands.
"
Okay.. uhh... oh merlin it looks so scary from over here..." Her voice trembled just a liiittle bit before she swallowed and raised the brush with its brushing side toward the ugly big teeth. The girl made sure not to stand too close to it, not even as close as Lewis had to. She merely stretched her arms aaaallll the way so the brush touched the teeth. Louisa instantly shuddered, "
ew ew ew ew ew ew..." this never stopped as she started moving the brush up and down making a disgusted face, too.
The girl made sure her fingers were in a safe place on the brush, not even her fingernails were allowed to get close to the repulsive big teeth. When she had to move the brush slightly to the top of the teeth, her eyes bore into Lewis', "
Push the lips a bit... I need to get to the teeth's roots." Ew ew ew ew ew ew ew ew...
