The second year listened closely as Professor Bentley revealed that the class would not only be brushing teeth, but flossing them as well. Ella was quite excited. Now she'd know how her dentist felt every time he tended to her teeth, she even had on gloves like he usually did. Cool! It didn't hurt that the flesh eating plants they were working with were sedated. That made the twelve year old feel loads better about the task at hand.

After Professor Bentley had finished giving instructions, Ella approached the workstations, looking for a fanged geranium that she could claim. Finding an open spot, she walked over and observed the plant and its rather large chompers. "My what big teeth you have!" She said, remembering the line from a fairy tale she had read. In her head the plant responded, 'The better to eat you with my dear.' SHIVER. No, this plant was sedated. No need to worry. Now what to start with? Ella glanced down at the toothbrush and floss and tried to think of what her dentist used first. She was pretty sure he always started with the floss. "Alright, floss it is." She said, picking up the floss with her left hand. "Listen geranium, I'm going to give you the best teeth cleaning ever so no funny business, okay?" And with that, it was time to begin.
