Kurumi had hardly gotten any sleep and the wear was only slightly noticeable on her face. She didn't really have bags under her eyes, but the way she stood leaning against a tree off to the side indicated that she was tired, lethargic. She had hardly touched her food at breakfast as well and not even the pumpkin juice that Selina had knowingly passed her had been able to bring anything that remotely resembled a smile to the sixth year's face.
She didn't want to do this.
Running her fingers idly through her hair,
Kurumi waited. Waited for Jonathan to come out of the castle and find her, his usual smirk on his face that made her heart race. Waited for him to look at her with his chocolate eyes that still were capable of making her go weak at the knees. Waited for him to come...so she could tell him the truth.
Kurumi could feel her own heart breaking, selfishly so, but it was breaking nonetheless.
Kurumi turned her back to the pathways and simply looked up at the warm sky, closing her eyes for a moment to just let it all in. She wouldn't be able to see if anyone was coming or not, but she just needed to take a moment to herself.
Just breathe...
