West was into reptiles? This evasive first year was just getting more and more interesting as the details played out. He wondered what he would actually be like when he met him, and how he would compare to Aspen personality wise. Cornelius didn't think about this long though, as in the next moment, he was listening to Aspen explain that she didn't mind being called Asp, since they were historical and had magical powers. He gave a faint smile at her knowledge of this seemingly random topic, but was quickly distracted as she decided that he didn't actually remind her of corn.

"Good to know! And nice knowing it took you so long to come to that conclusion!" he replied jokingly, flashing her another grin as she told him that he wasn't particularly corny to her either. Good! Finally, someone who didn't decide that he was corny just for the sake of calling him Corny! "Corn..." he muttered with mock bitterness, shaking his head playfully. In the next moment, his grin just happened to be on his expression as Aspen brought up a new nickname, suggesting Lips. "Lips?!" he couldn't help but repeat with mild surprise, letting out a bit of a laugh as he turned to look at her only to find that Aspen was blushing excessively. As though planning to go along with this nickname, though obviously not really thinking about it, Cornelius smiled at the girl with vague confusion and amusement behind his expression.

"And why would you call me that?" he couldn't help but ask, honestly completely confused by it, considering the fact that he didn't find his lips to be his most striking feature.
