The official
Harry Potter Wizard's Collection website released a new behind-the-scenes feature where graphic art designers for the series Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima discussed what inspired them to create the dark-red box for the definitive
Harry Potter DVD/BD collection.
Mina and Lima noted that they got the idea of the Wizard's Collection box set from the Skiving Snackboxes featured in
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, at the twins' Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes' shop. More on the box set, as well as a few of the artists' favourite props - including the Marauder's Map - can be viewed below. The 31-disc
Harry Potter Wizard's Collection will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and Ultraviolet on September 7, 2012.
Mina and Lima were interviewed earlier this year by
Art Insights Magazine about their involvement in the film series and Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, and displayed a variety of props they helped design, like
The Daily Prophet newspapers,
The Quibbler and Ministry of Magic posters, during the discussion. The two commented on the various times author J.K. Rowling visited the set at Leavesden and how much she loved the art props, especially
The Tales of Beedle the Bard for
Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 and 2. Rowling, according to Mina, was even curious to know who wrote articles for copies of the
Prophet in the films. The pair also talked about Helena Bonhan Carter's interest in their work, as well as the actress's own artistic endeavors, and discussed
Harry Potter Film Wizardry, the scrapbook encapsulating the eight-film Harry Potter saga which they designed at the request of Warner Bros. That 50-minute interview from their offices, where they display a variety of the props, can be viewed below.
