Veronica rolled her eyes, not because she was annoyed by him, but because he was right. Of course he'd been watching her. Who in their right mind would be employed in Knockturn Alley, frequent it often, and then not watch out for the 'other guy'? "Thank you, Captain Obvious," she spat back, "but that wasn't quite what I was talking about." Although, now that he'd been so annoying about it, she wouldn't bother with any other explanations. How'd this one get hired anyway? He was far too confident about himself for his own good.

"Who are you going to tell?" she asked, giving him a comical expression. Merlin, this one had to have a few screws lose. "You're just full of assumptions today, aren't you? I wasn't concerned with you telling anyone else." She was concerned with him knowing in the first place. She didn't answer the last question. He seemed to be interested now, and she really just wished he'd be on his way. "So what are you busy with, hmm?" She eyed him up and down. "Doesn't seem to be much."
