Then he chuckled. '...Such a thing existed.' The way she said it was amusing. The poor book.

"I believe you," he finally said, with a reassuring smile.

If Treyen had gone along and started to read the books Olivia and Pierre had been talking about when he first met them seven years ago, then chances were he'd have all of Shakespeare's books, tragedies, comedies, and whatnot, already with him. But he didn't, and it was Ellie the one who'd given him such a great gift.

He took her hands, the minute they started to twitch thanks to the thought of having a book so close to them, he suppressed the urge to chuckle, even if he was finding it a bit amusing...but his smile faded the moment he remembered her expression when he'd spoken of going to the library. The horror of it reflected in her eyes. He dropped one of her hands while the other tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I'm sorry." Mostly for being amused at this whole thing, when he clearly had no idea of how awful it must have been for her. And scary too.

Now, come to think of it. She should've given him the card, and nothing else.
So maybe it wasn't as common a thing to not know they actually made a book of all of Shakespeare's work. Or even that he wrote so much. Because Ellie had no idea. Her gaze went off of Treyen, to the door behind him, out of...embarrassment.

But at least he accepted it was her idea. That certainly made her feel better.

Her hands relaxed in his grasp, but she took up biting her lip instead. Though, it was more because she was embarrassed of her little...phobia still. And even more so that it was obvious beyond her control. That her body decided to give her away without her consent.

Treyen was sorry? For....what, exactly? That he laughed at her stupid fear? Or that she had a stupid fear? "It's okay...you're just normal," she smiled. While she was a freak.
