Not necessarily bad. For all Gwen cared, embarrassing would work too.
WHY.DID.HER.CAT.LIKE.ZEKE?
For the first time, Gwen was disappointed of Jinx. But it wasn’t so bad, as the black furball returned to his seat beside her. She gave the cat a small smirk. Good. He came back.
Even though she didn’t really care why he was dressed like that, or who the person was, Gwendolyn couldn’t help giving him a look, as to question what he had just said. Gah. This curiosity.
With the door a bit open, Jinx found the perfect moment to go look for that Pigmy Puff. The black cat jumped from his seat, this making Gwen to look back at him. Hopefully he wasn’t going to go back to Zeke. But no. The black furball casually made his way towards the door, and then started walking along the train corridor.
Gwen let the quill down and put the notebook next to her seat, quickly going to get Jinx back. Perhaps he couldn’t stand Zeke any longer?, the girl asked herself. Heh. This was sort of an explanation. Pushing the door open, the third year quickly noticed Jinx in front of one of the compartments, making his way along the corridor.
Getting close enough to the cat, Gwen took Jinx in her arms and was ready to head back. But someone caught her eye. ‘Tayla!’, the young Ravenclaw said enthusiastically, noticing her friend in the compartment she had just passed by.
Err. Was she talking to herself or was he meant to answer that? He answered anyway.
"A portrait would be nice. How 'bout a portrait of me? Let's test your drawing skills." Zeke grinned as he awaited her reaction for that. Yeah, his face would be good to be made a portrait. Gwen could hang have it framed and hang it in her room. Haha.
Zeke let his hand fall back to the seat as the cat went back to his owner. He let his eyebrows knit together, puzzled. Why was she looking at him like that?
"What?" Something on his face? He pulled out his handkerchief and wiped his whole face. Just in case.
But Jinx left. Too bad, he thought the cat was going back for him. Instead, it wandered away out the compartment. Aww. This meant Gwen would probably find a chance to have an excuse to leave. Hm. He watched as Gwen left just as he placed his handkerchief back in his pocket. Gee, would excusing herself out hurt her? How about a little politeness, missy? Run after her or stay? Stay is a good idea. All her stuff was here anyway. She'd come back.
Or not. Maybe she'll come back when the train's already there. She'd probably find another compartment with her friends and stay there. Oh well. Zeke looked out the window as the view preoccupied his mind. Not really. It just gave him something to stare at as he remembered Janine. Jane.
'Just wait, Jane. I'll be there soon.' He thought sadly as he grasped the handkerchief in his pocket which she gave him before.
"Soon," Zeke whispered softy yet half-conscious.
