Even though the third year seemed to be a bit upset that another year was gone, her cat seemed to be more than delighted to get back home. At least now Gwen’s mother won’t forget to give him some food.

As she finally passed by a compartment door, the girl nodded. The place was rather empty. Just someone reading there. Hmm. This should do, the third year told herself and pushed the door. ‘Hello…’, Gwen started saying, but suddenly stopped as she noticed the owl. Wasn’t it…? ‘Jory!’, the young Ravenclaw grinned, as she finally took a seat by the window.

Hoping that she wouldn’t disturb his reading, the third year unfolded the newspaper she’d gotten a couple of days ago, but didn’t have the time to read. After having read the titles of the articles which seemes more important, Gwendolyn drew her attention towards her friend. ‘How have you been?’, she asked with an actual smile on her face. ‘I don’t think I’ve had the chance to tell you- but congratulations!’ Yes. Hufflepuff deserved to win this term. Even if she wasn’t very pleased by this, Gwen had to admit- they had deserved it.

As the compartment was almost empty, the girl let Jinx take the seat besides her, only… the cat seemed to be looking too mischievous at the pigmy puff. Wooops. ‘So you’ve kept the Pygmy Puff?’, she mused, while tapping the seat besides her to make sure Jinx was still there.
Jory was so lost in the world of the book he was reading, he failed to notice the door to the compartment had been opened. It wasn't until he heard his name that he was jolted back to the real world. Looking around, he was pleased to see his friend. "Hi,Gwen!'' he said a goofy grin on his face.

As Gwen took her seat, Jory watched the cat. It was looking at Furball as if dinner had come early or something. Furball on the other hand, didn't seem to be paying much attention to the cat. Trusting that Gwen would take care that the cat wouldn't try to gobble Furball up, Jory now scanned the headlines on the newspaper.

When Gwen spoke, Jory smiled to himself. "I don't think the old Gwen would say that with a warm smile on her face,'' he thought. He was happy she was more friendly now and he was sort of proud of her. But the boy didn't know how to tell her that, he was never good with expressing feelings. "Thanks,'' he replied. The Puffs' work really paid off this year. He was especially impressed with Alyssa, whom he think juggled school work and being on the Gobstone and Quidditch team. "You know, earlier we were afraid Ravenclaw was going to pass us again.'' Ravenclaw definitely kept the Hufflepuff on their toes even if the Ravens didn't know it. "You guys didn't do bad yourselves,'' Jory added.

Jory cast an eye on the cat and then at Furball. "Yup, I grew attached to him since the lesson where we learnt about them,'' he said. "Plus, I think my sister would like him.'' The cat was still eyeing Furball who was now humming softly. "What's his-or her name?'' he asked nodding towards the cat.
