Eagle Eye [⅓ Badger Trio] Felon & Kafka ♥ Gilderoy Lockhart <3 [TEAM 947!]
A nod and a smile went to the ones who returned the greeting. And..., "Hey, Selina," went to Selina, of course.
But...Keefer! Treyen's expression relaxed. Really, neither of them could read expressions, so, the Head Boy might as well drop it. He hadn't understood what Keefer's look meant, and it was perfectly clear that he hadn't understood Treyen's either. They were even. Apparently. "Nothing," he said. The eyebrow went back into place and his smile returned. "What are you doing this summer?" THAT was not the same question he asked Lewis.
His hand squeezed Ellie's just a bit when the conversation between her and Keefer continued to a simple 'Thanks'. It had been incredibly awful for her. Losing. But Treyen still thought she was a brilliant player, and an even better Captain. Though, Keefer was winning in that contest, because he allowed Treyen to skip practices so he could tend to his studies.
Now....Kurumi.
Treyen simply couldn't believe what he was hearing. Was that the same Evelyn they were talking about? The tall, scary Slytherin who freaked him out even more when she became Head Girl? Yes, that must be the one. Treyen tries to nod as if saying he's understood, when in fact...he hasn't. But that didn't matter much, right?
The stroking continued...until she mentioned Japan to Arya. "Japan? Will you been around Diagon Alley this summer?" that was the only hope for him to see her. Unless he actually went to Japan, but for some reason that seemed almost impossible and very unlikely.
WAAAAIIIIT. What?! The stroking stopped altogether. "Mr. Hollingberry?" Howler-man? "For me?" Like, what did he want? Surely Treyen will be pleased to see him, but...not if he had more Howlers to deliver. He was such a good man, though, one good man who must be in terrible pain. His eyes went to Ellie as he got a glimpse of what Charles must be going through. It must feel infinitely worse. Losing the one you've long for so long. And not being able to do anything about it.
Hey, now, we notice the tail! So, calm down Walnut. "Be a good King, Walnut." The stroking commences again.
It felt awkward, by the way, having Kurumi on one side and Ellie on the other.
But his eyes were on Keefer now. The cat. Walnut? Yeah, he must be talking about him. "This is Kurumi's. He's Walnut. Self-proclaimed King of...the Gryffindor Common Room...and almost of my shoes, once." That ought to explain it. Marking territories was a hobby of this cat.
