Internally, the redhead cringed, because to her, it was all false. But outwardly, she decided to be just as polite back. "Thanks."
And she bit her lip when the Hufflepuff Captain addressed Treyen. What what? She honestly wasn't sure. She wasn't paying much attention to Treyen. Not as long as that evil cat was in his lap, at least.
"
No problem," he said. He could tell she was only replying out of courtesy, so he didn't take the conversation any further. But he had meant what he said. The two teams had been very evenly matched.
We barely scraped out those wins.. both times. I wasn't sure we'd win til I saw that Snitch in Alec's hands. He wanted to compliment her on her leadership, her dedication. But he did neither, for he knew she would rather concentrate on ignoring Treyen and the cat in his lap.
And speaking of which... "
So what's the deal with this cat?" he wondered aloud, half to himself and half to anyone that would answer. There was obviously a history he didn't know. Like why Ellie seemed to not like it, and Treyen seemed surprised that it liked him.
