The thought of dealing with her mom leaving though made going home feel stressful. She wasn't eager to face the reality of the situation, not sure she was ready to deal with it fully.
Not knowing how exactly she'd gotten there, Ella found herself at the back of the train. She looked around at the compartments, many already filled, and saw Minnie and Harvey talking on one that still had some room. She approached the door and slid it open, peeking her head in. "Hey guys, mind if I sit with you?" Hopefully they wouldn't cause Ella was quite drained and was keen to sit and relax for a bit.
Logan slowly made his way down the corridor of the train, clutching the letter tightly in his fist. He tried to swallow, but his throat was too dry. He noticed Ella, Harvey, and Minnie in a compartment. He slid open the door, his hands shaking.
"H-hi guys. C-can I join y-y-you?" he asked.
