Lilly didn't really know her, but had seen the girl in class and around the grounds, and somewhere picked up her name. Nosy her. Naughty her. Oh well.
Lilly sighed. Explaining it to people was hard. She'd most likely burst into floods of tears again. Smartie looked a little less stroppy and a little more concerned as he eyed Ira up and down. "N-Nothing happened at H-Hogwarts, i-it's just my M-M-Mum-" She burst into tears again, just as she'd predicted, but forced herself to carry on. "She died l-last year and my D-Dad can't look after us and we've g-got to live with Rupert and-" Lilly couldn't carry on. That probably made no sense whatsoever. She probably should've got over her mum's death a year later, but she still couldn't.
The girl wished Rose was here. She'd know exactly what to say and Lilly would feel better, at least a little bit, anyway. Sometimes she didn't get on with her sister, like when they had that big fight, but Rose was ALWAYS right, as much as Lilly would never, ever admit it.
Ira looked at her worriedly as the girl showed her tear-stained face. Aww! And Ira was certainly no expert in calming others down. Most of the times, instead of calming others, she herself had become sad!
Still, she was not going to leave her alone. She wrapped her hands around the girl, and listened as she began to speak.
Her mother? Was she dying too? Like Kurumi's.... Oh no! She then heard the next sentence and understood what the problem was. So the crying was because she had not yet gotten over her other's death, and she did not wanna stay with her father? Or this Rupert guy whoever he was..
Oh! Oh! She burst into tears again! What to do? How to calm her a little? Ira wondered. Right now, first she had calm the girl down and then talk to her.
Chocolates? Oh yes, right now they were the best option!
"
Here take these and pop them in!" Saying so, she gave the chocolate frogs she bought from the food trolley. "
And all will be right.... can't you stay with any of your friends?"
