Strengths: Excellent runner and superb at climbing trees. Ever since the age of ten he knew how to use an axe and a blade (he also knows a few spells).

Weaknesses: He's hydrophobic (because of an accident, he almost drowned in the river next to his house at the age of 7) therefore he can't swim, and he prefers not to be around any lakes or rivers. He also has some hearing problems but he doesn't really mind them.

A Little History: Roland was born at District 7. He lives with his mother, Holly Chestnut, father, Noah Chestnut, and 13 year old sister, Pine Chestnut. His family isn't the poorest family but not the richest. By the age of nine he began working and the sawmill (most of the spells he knows he learnt from, since they were allowed sometimes to use magic at work, but they usually worked with their hands). Even though started working at a very early age he never dropped-out of school, but he never succeeded academically. Sadly, his best and only friend died last year at the Hunger Games, which is the reason the only person he talks to anymore is mainly his dad, but sometimes also his mum and sister.


Personality: Roland is a loner, he doesn't usually talk to people he isn't really close with (like family), but he had one friend from school and work (who sadly died last year at the Hunger Games). Roland lives in his own world he doesn't always understand what's going around him, probably because of his hearing problems, but ever since the age of 15 he began coming down to earth. He loves exploring the woods of his district, alone of course, and climbing onto the tallest trees, and sometimes when no one's around he jumps from tree to tree.
