William put on a matching innocent look, though the corners of his mouth were threatening to break into a gigantic smirk at any moment. Her hands on his bare chest didn't help any either, but he wasn't about to protest.
"No no, see, if we... say, hug each other, the uh, body heat will steam our clothes and we'll dry faster." He bit his own tongue to keep from laughing at how ridiculous that sounded to him. Willy could only imagine that it must sound even worse, even more cheesy, to Alysson.
A rumble of thunder broke out as the darkening clouds loomed closer, and Willy actually did shiver at Aly's reminder. "I uh, I'm terribly afraid of thunderstorms," he half-fibbed. "Will you protect me from the lightning?" He turned his big brown eyes on her and did a good job at keeping a straight face... for all of five seconds. Then William was chuckling again, albeit much more quietly than usual.
