That's just the way you are. People like you," she said, not realy looking at him due to the snuggles. "I wish I could make it easier for you. Easier for me, too, but I don't want you feeling bad about graduating," she continued, finally sitting up more so she could at least tilt her head to look at him. Strong. She was going to stay strong, even if the moment made her want to break down. He never would. She knew that.

"Graduation does have to come. Otherwise you'd just be stuck," she replied, giving him the slightest of smiles to show she was trying to amuse him. "You'll see people when you're at home, and then it'll be time to go to France and you'll see me again. And next term is going to fly by for me just like it did for you this term, and then I'll be graduated." She wasn't sure who exactly she was convincing by now, but if it worked, it didn't matter. She did go back to the hug, though, using it to hide another moment of wanting to not be strong. Everything she said was true, or at least she hoped it was. There were definitely going to have to be a lot of owls next term.
By the look on Stella's face, Matt could tell that she was trying not to cry and he had especially hated seeing his girlfriend cry but it was rather difficult to keep himself together right now. Watching all the people around him ending up sad that he was leaving wasn't entirely hadn't been easy to handle at all, how it seemed as though people liked him that much had truly perplexed him. "I know you do. And really what would make it easier for me is just having you here. I'm not entirely sad that I am graduating because it's never actually the end, well of this chapter yes; but what's next is what keeps me from sitting here and moping." Between spending the next year in France and then starting university, it truly was going to be interesting and even though he was never going to see Hogwarts again; he had accepted that. Plus he had taken enough pictures and had sketches of several areas around the school that were going to be perfect memories.

A slight chuckle escaped from his lips at what she had said next, it was rather evident that she was just trying to make him laugh and it worked perfectly considering he felt the slightest bit better than earlier. "I'd rather not get stuck. I'd take graduation over that any time." Sure he would have rather hide out in the broom closet so that he could have spent one last term with her but that wasn't going to happen. "You know that I'm really excited about going to France over the summer, even if I'm still nervous over the fact of having to meet your parents." It made perfect sense to be nervous about that since he hoped that they would like him, it was never a good sign if the girlfriend's parents didn't like you. "By the time you graduate from here, I'll be getting ready to go to university." At least that was in London, he hadn't thought that travel would have been likely again after spending the year traveling around France.
