Ella walked over to the Hufflepuff house table with a definite spring in her step. The first year wore a wide smile on her face, Barnabus the yellow puff sitting happily on her shoulder. She spotted an empty seat near some friends and sat down, waving to them. "Hello guys!" She said cheerfully.

It was strange, being here like this when in felt like just yesterday Ella had been sorted into Hufflepuff. In the beginning she had no idea if she'd even like the house and the people in it. Now...well they were family. It would be strange, not seeing them everyday. Summer definitely would be lonely without the chaos of the common room and gossip in the girls' dormitory. It made Ella feel a little sad. That feeling didn't last long, though. Hufflepuff had reason to celebrate, many actually. They had kicked-erm-bottom this term!
