Mr Hyde smiled as the other two men talked, he was sure that that Laura would be in good hands with Carigan and her family, and he had to leave soon or he would miss his important meeting, he was about to tell the other two grown-ups that he had to go when Laura decided she was going to cling to him, seriously he couldn't work Laura out one minute she was a happy the next she was well clinging to him, he was about to ask her what was wrong when it suddenly hit him, Laura was probably scared of Ella's and Carigans father for some reason, had Laura and her twin sister been watching scary films again, if so they would be in trouble later
Carigan smiled and ran over to where Laura, Ella, and now her sister stood. She just smiled as Reagan was actually
socializing. Such a rare thing to see.
Regan smiled at Laura then turned when another girl started talking to her. Reagan was starting to feel uncomfortable with all of these people all around her. "I'm Reagan..." she said quietly before adding "If you'll excuse me I'm going to go finish my painting... again softly and she ran back inside and climbed the ladder as quickly as she could so she could continue her work on the painting. Hoitt smiled a white toothy grin. "Well, Rich, how's about we go have some tea at the kitchen table and the girl can put their stuff in the loft?" he asked inviting the man in and walking to the door, holding it open for everyone.
Carigan grabbed on to Ella and Laura and dragged them into the house. The smell of a strawberry incense stick filled her nose.
"Me and Regan share the entire loft for a room. Not bad if you ask me!" she said showing the girls the ladder they used to climb up.
Meanwhile, Reagan was packing her backpack with a few things. A small blanket, an old hardcover book, and some granola bars.She heard Carigan showing the girls the ladder so she hurried, grabbing onto her backpack and swinging it onto her back and, opening the window, jumped onto a strong limb of the tree just outside the window then shutt he window behind her. She climbed down the tree and went in search of a quiet place to read away from all of these people.
