A few down, a ton to go. Sierra rolled her eyes at the very thought of that. Whatever. If she could just get a passing score on this it'd all be worth it. She could care less what the runes looked like or if they'd ever get used in the future. She wouldn't be using them...
She aimed her wand at another piece of wood. "Intaglio!" she exclaimed, this time moving her wand in the shape of the symbol for Ansuz. "Ansuz, Ansuz, Ansuz." Pleased with her progress, she grinned and moved her wand to another piece of wood. "Intaglio!" she said. Again, her wand moved, but this time it moved in the shape of Raidho. "Raidho, Raidho, Raidho!" Sigh. This was taking forever. "Intaglio! Kenaz, Kenaz, Kenaz," she continued, moving her wand in the shape of a new symbol.

Sierra paused for a few moments and assessed the piece of wood she'd been working on. There was no way she had enough wood to finish. She looked off toward the direction she'd found the first piece of wood then pushed herself up off the ground. After searching for a bit, she came across another piece of wood from the same tree.
Taking it back to her little mock work area, she sat down and got to work again. "Intaglio!" she said, aiming her wand at the small piece of wood she had left from the first piece. "Gebo, Gebo, Gebo!" She moved her wand in the directions needed to make the symbol for Gebo. With that, she'd used up the first piece of fallen wood.
Picking up the second piece, she aimed her wand and said, "Intaglio! Wunjo, Wunjo, Wunjo!" Well, this was at least coming along fairly quickly now. Realizing time was nearly up, Sierra quickly diverted her wand to the next piece of the wood. "Intaglio!" she said, beginning to make the shape for Hagalaz. "Hagalaz, Hagalaz, Hagalaz!"

If there was a wall nearby, Sierra might would consider beating her head against it. It sounded less painful than sitting here making these runes. With a sigh, she pointed her wand toward the branch. "Intaglio! Nauthiz, Nauthiz, Nauthiz!" she said, making the shape of that rune. Wanting this assignment to be over more than anything, she pointed her wand to a new spot on the wood. "Intaglio! Isa, Isa, Isa!" Well, at least that one was easy to say. Easy to carve, too. "Intaglio!" she continued, quickly moving on. "Jera, Jera, Jera!"

Realizing she was almost out of time and knowing she only had a few more runes to make, Sierra began to work even faster. She was almost done now. She'd lived through the most grueling assignment ever. Well, maybe not the most grueling, but it wasn't the greatest either. It wasn't Jenkins' fault either. It was just the subject. "Intaglio!" she said, and her wand began to draw the symbol for Algiz. "Algiz, Algiz, Algiz!" Before long, that rune was made, and she was on to the next one, Sowilo. "Intaglio! Sowilo, Sowilo, Sowilo!" Knowing it would help make her runes that much better, Sierra focused on the meaning of the rune as she carved.

Jenkins was probably closing the final soon, yet Sierra still hadn't finished. Feeling a little stressed, she frowned and cast a quick look in the professor's direction. Almost done... Almost done... "Intaglio!" she said, drawing the symbol for Tiwaz. What did Tiwaz mean again? ... Ah, yeah. Sierra focused on the meaning as she chanted the name and finished the symbol. "Tiwaz, Tiwaz, Tiwaz!"
Ehwaz, an interesting little rune, if she did say so herself. Well, at least some part of the rune-making process was interesting... "Intaglio!" she said. "Ehwaz, Ehwaz, Ehwaz!" It was the rune they'd use to transport themselves, she recalled. Just one more. One more rune. SHE'D SURVIVED! "Intaglio!" she said, with a bit of happiness in her tone. "Othala, Othala, Othala!"
Then with that, she was done.
