"Put half of the juice, mucus, the fangs and the slime in the mortar. Crush the fangs in the liquids. This will turn a bright purple. Add the purple... goo... and the rest of the horklump juice to the boiling water." She demonstrated. The gum was honestly getting on Stella's nerves the tiniest bit, mostly because she knew that if it had been one of them cracking it, Professor Lafay would have at the least given them the death glare and more likely detention. But when it was the professor, it was just like she was testing their resolve, their focus, and she wasn't about to break. Not yet, and definitely not in a joint lesson where she'd be breaking down in front of Professor Scabior as well. Therefore, she was just going to have to ignore the annoyances and just continue to brew her potion. That and she blinked as it seemed they were getting their ingredients magically delivered instead of having to collect them on their own. Granted, they were quite a distance from the potions supply cupboard, but she hadn't expected it to be made easy for them.
Before she started working with the ingredients, though, she made sure to add them into her journal, along with the steps as they'd been given out by the professor. She was already writing, so it made more sense than to set her quill down and go back to it later. Write everything down while it was fresh in her memory. However, once that was complete, she did set her quill down, sliding her mortar over to herself and pouring half the pint of juice inside, following that with the mucus, fangs and slime. Picking up her pestle after that, she started crushing, keeping a close eye on the mixture and stopping once it was a bright amethyst color and oddly reminiscent of the slime. There was just a lot more of it now, and it was a prettier color. Picking the mortar up, she carefully added the gooey mixture to the water in her cauldron along with the rest of the horklump juice, then glanced toward the professors again. It would be interesting to see what was next.
