Irish eyes || Nanny McPhee
The quiet of the library could make anyone think they're hearing things, couldn't it? As Damien wandered to the library and through the bookshelves he hadn't noticed a single student. And now he was hearing the slight thud of something on something else. Perhaps he really was losing his mind and needed help. Thud. --- Thud.
It got steadily louder when a book actually thudded at his feet, sprawling its pages out like a paper fan would.
Quite strange this library.
And then a familiar figure appeard as he rounded the corner where the escaped book landed. Did she always do that to her nose when she was frustrated? Damien recalled the incident of one of Daisy's large books wacking him in the head, proceeded by her yelling at him for skpping out on a meeting the two of them were supposed to have one summer in Diagon Alley. She didn't pinch her nose then. Perhaps these were different circumstances.
The boy bent down to pick up the book and walked over to where Daisy sat. "Aren't these supposed to be treated well?" he asked her, waving the book back and fourth. "What would your Head of House think of the sight of you throwing books carelessly around like ..."
It was then he noticed the pile of books that were strewn about around her. "Merlin," he muttered. "What exactly are you looking for?"
