He just had a lot of girls around him for some weird reason. That didn't mean anything. All they wanted to do was congratulate him for the match. Yeah... that's all.

He could feel himself going red slightly as Keefer continued to mock him. This was... embarrassing. "I..." What was he even meant to say? "I'm not a ladies' man. I mean, I'm a boy!" ... Yeah, good going Alec.

Keefer laughed heartily as Alec resisted the idea. He probably still thinks girls have cooties or something. "Hey, it's fine, Alec. I'm just joking around with ya!" Well, mostly, at least. He clapped his Seeker on the back and gave him a wink.

Keefer's excitement about Ella maybe joining the team caused her smile to widen, though nervously. "Oh." The first year knew that the team would change as the terms went on but it was still quite sad. "They are both great. I know they will be missed." And how could she ever live up to either of them? But she shook off the doubts, listening to Keefer's advice instead. "I plan on it. I've actually been getting quite good at flying. I'm pretty quick...at least I think I am." Ah yes, the nerves. Those probably wouldn't be shed anytime soon. Ella was a constant worrier. "What p-position?" Oh no. Ella couldn't say. First, cause she didn't want Keefer to laugh and second, because saying it out loud meant it was real. That she was actually trying out. "I-uh-I was thinking of chaser...b-but I also think beaters are q-quite important and I-well I have a p-pretty good swing." Long tennis lessons had helped with that. The tiny badger looked up at Keefer, wondering if he would laugh at her.

Then, something distracted the first year from the conversation she was having about quidditch. She had seen Alyssa fall to the floor and Minnie was with her. O_O Was she okay? Ella felt quite nervous again, this time for the older badger crying out in pain. "Help her." She said quietly, looking at Keefer with wide worried eyes. Was Hadley still here too? Someone needed to make Alyssa better and soon.

"Hey, we need quick fliers. That's actually what our main weakness was this turn. We were good at out-maneuvering opponents, but quickness wasn't up to the level I wanted." Yes, he could still critique though they were the Champions. "Beater, eh? I've seen some really good female Beaters in my day, though I think that's the hardest position for them to play." Which wasn't to say that they couldn't play it. It was just the hardest one for them to perfect. "But we will be needing some talented Chasers to make up for what we're losing." He sighed at the thought of losing both Treyen and Lewis in one year.

"Hey, now," he started to say, as Keefer started to explain the t-shirt business to Minnie, "Ellie didn't make me wear it." Nope, he gladly accepted to wear it, which was oh-so-different.

Actually, she did make him wear it. By asking him to. Not forcing it on him. Plus, he really liked it.

Nothing more could be said...because...

"Lyssie?" Die?? What? She didn't die on the Pitch, there was no way she was going to die at a party, okay? "We should go to the Healer." And since he was the one who arrived late, might as well take her, no? Because he could always return and be late again.

His hand was laid out for her to take, "I'll take you." And she could lean on him as much as she wanted.

Keefer smirked, somewhat doubting the BigHead Boy's claims that he willingly offered to wear the shirt. "Suuuuuuure she didn't. You just keep telling yourself that, buck-o." He sighed and shook his head a bit. I mean, the guy is clearly head-over-heels here. He'd do anything for her. So she probably just mentioned it and he did it to make her happy. So willingly, but only somewhat.

Then pandemonium broke in as Lyss went down. He watched the scene unfold, a passive bystander. Several people were already dealing with it, and he didn't think crowding around was what she needed at the moment. Especially since this was kinda the Head Boy's territory, no? I mean, she was his teammate, but Treyen's as well. And this type of thing is more in his job description than mine.
