Seeing that look on Oliver's face had to be the funniest thing Waylon had seen that day. He did work around a bunch of kids, after all, so there were funny things to be seen all the time. But that face! He should have let his friend eat it. And he was thinking it even more as the dog cookie was tossed onto the floor.
"Why wouldn't I put them there?" It was the snack cart, so snacks went there. Including dog ones. He eyed up the cookie on the floor,
"You're going to clean that up."
Or he wouldn't. Either way, Biscuit would eat it when he was done chasing the birds that were in the vegetable garden.
Which he then pointed towards when Beezus asked where he was. It was about time, too. Surely everyone knew that he had a dog, even if this was their first time in his hut. Why else would he have dog cookies just laying around? Unless they thought
he ate them. Which he did not! Eww. Shuddering just at the thought of eating them, he had no idea how Oakey had chewed it, the smell alone was atrocious, Waylon picked up his newspaper once more, and was just about to drape it over his face when he heard that they were all leaving.. and August, - ha! he remembered his name! - apologizing for eating all his snacks. Dear Merlin! Those kids were greedy. Still, he waved his hand dismissively in the boy's direction.
"That's what they were there for." And then August was gone, leaving only a few students remaining.
One of those students being a passed out Laura..

Aaron let out a girlish squeak and got down next to Laura. He prodded her cheek carefully, but wasn't sure everything was alright.

Waylon flinched slightly as the girl hit the floor, and he threw Aaron a
look when he yelled that he thought she was dead. Couldn't they tell the difference between someone fainting and someone dying? Perhaps he should take the boy into the Forbidden Forest to see if he can see Thestrals. Sighing, almost agitatedly, he could have sworn Laura was just out to torture him, she had killed his plants before and then lied and said the monkeys had done it, the Groundskeeper pushed himself off the sofa and moved to kneel beside her.
"Laura." he gave her shoulder a little shake before summoning one of the sofa pillows and placing it under her head.
"If she doesn't come to in two minutes, you go get the Healer, Aaron." And he better not go screaming at the woman, he didn't think she would like that.
And Oliver!
"Why does everyone pass out in front of you?" On second thought, he didn't want to hear his answer..
