As she made her way into Level 2, it was obvious that Roxanne Carter was just not her usual self. Oh sure, she looked like herself, but gone was the normal friendly smile. Instead, she looked like she could burst into tears at the drop of a hat. Her clothing was different too, badly wrinkled and seeming to be the first clean things pulled from the floor. One glance at her told the whole story. Things in her personal life had taken a serious turn for the worst. Still though, Roxanne was determined to push herself through one more day of work before leaving for awhile. She felt her eyes water and took a seat in one of the visitors chairs to pull herself back together before entering the office. She rested her elbow on her leg and her forehead in her hand. A few tears leaked out, but she just let them fall. How was she going to work when she couldn't even hold it together for ten minutes?
